Introduction

In the world of surface preparation and refinishing, RUPES products are known and loved around the world, and DBC2 was called upon to take a deeper dive into the stories of the craftspeople who use them.

And so “Perfection Exceeded” was born, a multi-part video series that utilises high-quality, long-form video content to produce engaging pieces around the human stories behind the products.

Since the late 60s, Trigger Bros Surfboards has been manufacturing, restoring, and refinishing boards for surfing enthusiasts. This is their story.

Motorcycle Diaries

Mike Jackson has developed a lifelong passion for motorcycles, and a particular desire for keeping them looking their best.

Location: Mike’s Bikes and Classic Cars, Ringwood, Victoria.

CONCLUSION

The Perfection Exceeded series is an ongoing highlight for the team at DBC2. Being able to sink our teeth into long-format, high-value video production is a real treat in an increasingly short-format world. We’re super proud of the episodes that we’ve produced so far and look forward to continuing the series with RUPES Australia.

The RUPES brand is nearing 75 years old, and has built a strong, market leading position in surface preparation and refinishing.

We wanted to show the brand as the tie that binds human moments, emotional value, craft and connection.

I’m very proud of the communication outcomes of this series. Watching the story unfold is, in my humblest, mesmerising.

DBC2 were instrumental in bringing this vision to life, and the finished videos speak for themselves. We look forward to creating more in the future and continuing to tell the RUPES story.
